SRA INCLUSIVITY COMMITTEE CARRYING THE MESSAGE

CARRYING THE MESSAGE

Sexual Recovery Anonymous was founded on the principle that anyone suffering from sexual addiction could find help in SRA. Built on this principle of inclusion, SRA grew from a few groups on the west coast of Canada to the international fellowship we are today.

To actively carry out our continued commitment to inclusion, Sexual Recovery Anonymous has formed an Inclusivity Committee. Its mission is to “actively seek to ensure that all who desire relief from sexual addiction feel welcome and have access to SRA recovery, with special attention to underrepresented people, including those who have been historically marginalized due to their race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, socio-economic status, level of ability or any other identity.”

The SRA Inclusivity Committee welcomes new participants and meets one Thursday a month for 90 minutes. The next meeting date and the zoom link are available on the SRA virtual schedule. Working on the Committee is a great way to do service and to ensure newcomers feel welcome.

To date, the Committee has hosted the 2024 Fall Retreat, contributed inclusivity language to the 2nd edition of the SRA Gold Book and is actively planning outreach to people under-represented in the fellowship.
